  1. The New York Port Authority Bus Terminal is located on 8th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, between 40th and 42nd Streets.
  2. The terminal is the main hub for intercity buses in the New York City area, with service to destinations up and down the East Coast, as well as to cities in the Midwest and Canada.
  3. It’s also a stop for some Amtrak trains which mainly serves as a connection point for passengers who are traveling by bus to other locations.
  4. The terminal can be quite busy, so it’s a good idea to arrive early and allow extra time to find your bus or train.
  5. The terminal has a number of amenities, including shops, restaurants, and newsstands, as well as baggage storage and lockers.
  6. Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are all readily available outside the terminal, as well as several car rental services.
  7. The terminal is well connected with the subway and many buses, with the A, C, E, N, Q, R, W, 1, 2, 3, 7, and S subway lines all stop nearby.
  8. Terminal also have guided tours which can be very helpful to find your way around the terminal and to plan your trip.
